This is a list of all the changes I could find while reviewing the Earthdawn Revised Edition Player's Guide (often referred to as EDR, ED3R, or Revised).

Their competition is over now and the winners will be published in regular posts one by one on their page. The following text is part of the 10th anniversary and it was one of the first texts on and it is at least as old as the site.
This text gives a great insight into the history of Barsaive. Like the Players Compendium, I am extremely impressed with the production quality of Earthdawn, the excellent quality of the artwork and more than satisfied with the general design of the book, the writing style, and the exotic and evocative campaign world of Barasive.

The new edition of Earthdawn is certainly a labour of love; evidence of the tireless work is obvious in the two enormous volumes that make up the core rules. Out of print for several years, a plucky Kiwi company (RedBrick) has ensured the continuance of the game-system and the game-world for years to come.

I loved the original Earthdawn, I loved the 2nd edition from Living Room Games, I loved Earthdawn Classic from Red Brick. Do I love Earthdawn 3rd Edition. The Product.
Unlike the Classic Edition Player’s Compendium, which covered all 15 Circles, this rulebook only covers the first eight Circles for each Discipline. Earthdawn 3rd and 4th editions seems to require a GM guide and a Players guide to run. It looks as though 1st and 2nd can be run with only the core rule book though.
Is that correct. What books would you call high priority beyond the core book in the first two editions. I actually extended the time inside the Kaer because the players were all new to the game at the time.
Also, for some reason, every Earthdawn group I've been associated with in any way (player, GM, outside observer, friend of someone in the group) across multiple states and decades always seems to run Infected.

Prosperi and a great selection of related books, art and collectibles available now at Which is different than the Master books, which are called "Master Players' Book" and "Master DM's Book." I only found out they were all part of the same series when I searched online for the provenance of my Player's Companion.
Sadly, I am missing half the Companion box set.
